It's the first weekend!
Sep. 8th, 2007 04:19 pmYesterday was one of my busiest days yet. Class and work from 9-2 then LogJam. Which is sort of like UPS' activity fair and the Creative Writing House was forced to have a table. Then, except for a game of speed scrabble, I was summarily abandoned by David and Andrew. This meant that I had to sit there enduring the flood of freshmen who didn't know what theme house was and thought they were signing up to live with us. Idiots. Though I was comforted by seeing one extremely fashionable girl wearing a pink microdress and a fannypack. It amused.
Then cupcakes were made by Ashleigh and I (Andrew's birthday) and sugar highs were ridden to their depressing and woozy end.
I'm having high hopes about my new fiction writing class. Taking the class and living with Andrew might actually help me get some writing done. Andrew and I have been playing Speed Scrabble and I've been only barely winning. This makes me respect him and thus I might actually listen to his criticisms of my writing.
All I want is to be able to make a nice living as an author. But I don't seem to have the discipline to manage that. We'll see if I can change any time soon.
Love to mine.
