Apr. 9th, 2007 09:43 pmETA: FAILURE AT 10:02 A.M.
Tomorrow shall be a day Without the Internet (except for email purposes) and Other Issues. If I were at Hogwarts I'd suspect a compulsion spell. I can't stop reading this marvelously long and complicated Slytherin!Harry fic. Can. Not. Stop. I skipped a class today so I could read. Then I read it at work, something which I never, ever, do. I came home and have been reading for... 3.5 hours. I do usually read things this way but then I finish them. The problem lies in the sheer length of the damn thing.
So no internet/computer. And I'll only reply to work/school emails. It's been so long since I thought about how much I'm technologically dependent that I'm not certain I'll be able to stop. But I'll try. This public announcement should help.
Goals
1) Check email only three times.
2) If not checking email computer is shut.
3) No iPod
4) No cellphone
5) No television
6) No drugs
7) None of that thing that I secretly do and can't tell anyone about. (It's not exciting, it's embarrassing and a character flaw.)
