(no subject)
Sep. 9th, 2006 02:43 pmSo I'm eavesdropping on a conversation and I hear, "Writing is my life! I've always written, it's the only thing I do! I don't watch television, I don't read, I just WRITE!"
So I'm feeling kinda guilty. I don't make sacrifices to the writing god. If I want to sleep I sleep etc. I'm even majoring in something semi-sensible (Oh my god. How am I going to graduate on time and still go abroad? Panic.) though I'm taking the practical writing classes that they are, and reading the same literature that they are (sans Tess types) I have no true passion for writing.
It's fun, a way to pass the time and hopefully make some money one day. But I'm not about to sacrifice my life to it. That said. I'm going to start sacrificing. Not so much because I love to write but rather I'd die if one of those imbeciles got something published before me.
