Help...please...

So I finally figured out how to play a video_ts folder from a ripped dvd. I have absolutely no interest in burning this to a dvd-r. All I want is a nice file full of movies (or avi files) like other people have. How to I make a 6.7 GB video_ts file into something more managable and still playable? Remember, I'm on a Mac.
