While discussing the practice of branding slaves "FUG"(for fugitive) in Latin...a casual aside...

"We should brand every one who has AIDS with a bright red ribbon on their foreheads. That way no one would get it anymore."

Insert a pause for a shocked and horrified Briel.

"Yeah asshole. And bigots should be branded with a "B" so no one will listen to them."

I spent the rest of the class trying not commit a felony.
